INSURANCE POLICY
TRAVEL INSURANCE & SELF-RISK
Buddha Holidays Tours & Travel Pvt. Ltd. (“Buddha Holidays”, “we”, “us” or “our”) strongly recommends that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance before commencing any tour or travel arrangement booked through us.
1. Client Responsibility
Travel insurance is the sole responsibility of the client. Clients are responsible for arranging and maintaining adequate insurance coverage for the entire duration of their trip.
The Company recommends that travel insurance appropriately covers, where applicable, medical and emergency expenses, accidents, trip cancellation or interruption, loss or damage to baggage and personal belongings, and other unforeseen travel-related risks.
2. Personal Risk and Property
The client acknowledges that participation in travel and tour activities involves certain inherent risks. The client, together with their personal belongings and baggage, remains responsible for their own safety and property, subject to applicable laws and the terms of the services booked.
Buddha Holidays shall not be responsible for any loss, expense, injury, illness, cancellation, delay, damage or other claim to the extent that such loss or expense is not covered by the client's insurance or is otherwise beyond the Company's responsibility under applicable law.
3. Travel Without Insurance
Where permitted by the Company, a client may be allowed to travel without providing proof of travel insurance only after submitting a handwritten and signed self-risk declaration together with the applicable booking form.
The declaration must state:
“I agree to travel at my own risk without providing a travel insurance policy to Buddha Holidays Tours & Travel Pvt. Ltd. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for any risks, costs, losses, medical expenses, damages or other consequences arising from or during my travel.”
By submitting this declaration, the client confirms that they have been advised to obtain travel insurance and voluntarily accept responsibility for travelling without such insurance, subject to applicable laws and the terms and conditions of the services booked.
4. Acknowledgement
Submission of a self-risk declaration does not waive any rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law. Buddha Holidays reserves the right to require valid travel insurance for particular destinations, activities, tours or travel arrangements where it considers such coverage necessary or where it is required by law, a supplier, destination authority or other applicable requirement.
